Installing an expansion tank on a hot water heater is not as difficult as you may think. The hardest part of the job for most people, is actually finding and purchasing a tank that will be able to accommodate the additional hot water that they will need on a regular basis. It is important to know, when purchasing or building a new heating system, the capacity and size of each individual tank that will be required. If this information is not included in the installation manual, it will be nearly impossible to find an expansion tank that will be able to handle the demands placed upon it.
