Where is the Back Up Water Heater in the RV Heater?

A bypass valve in an RV is used to control the hot water supply of your hot water heater by opening up a connection between the hot water heater and the drain. This will then cause the hot water to go into the water heater but will also prevent the water from siphoning back into the hot water tank. You’ll probably see this type of heater mounted on the wall near where the rear of the hot water heater is located or at the very back of the RV. It’s also possible to install a bypass valve on an inside faucet, but for an RV that has only one faucet it might be difficult to find.
