Notes and additional information for ServiceWhale Vinyl floor Installation Calculator
The suggested prices are for standard averages on vinyl sheet installed on pre-prepared surface. The materials and tools needed for the installation are included in the price estimate and valid for indoor and outdoor vinyl sheet installation. If exotic vinyl sheets are to be installed, indoor or outdoor, or if the installation pattern is sophisticated, prices will most probably increase and potentially require an onsite estimate visit of a contractor. The vinyl floor installation prices given by the ServiceWhale Cost Calculator are NOT official quotes from contractors, but rather estimates. Scope for vinyl floor installation:
-
Removal of the existing flooring (if present):

Installation of new vinyl flooring (per customer's choice):
prices are estimated based on ServiceWhale historic pricing for regular installation of new vinyl floors. It is recommended to have matching vinyl molding for better durability and water protection. -
Cost of related materials and supplies typically required to install vinyl floors include:
vinyl sheets, manufacturer recommended vinyl sheet underlayment, fasteners, vinyl sheet cutter, laser beam level, adhesives and surface sealants, typically required to install new vinyl floor are included in the price. Contractors are responsible for all materials needed for installation. Hand tools, glue and finishing materials, seals, nails, and other tools necessary for installation are included in the price and are under contractor's responsibility. -

- Removal of old floor: might be for different material than carpet: estimated price includes removal of vinyl/carpet/vinyl from subfloor, removal of vinyl sheet from wet bed or concrete floor, other installation cases (rarely common) may require on site estimate, and or extra labor, and or fees.
- Custom cuts: no custom vinyl sheet cutting is included in the price calculator, special vinyl sheet cut situations (not common) may require extra labor and fees. It is recommended to contact with professional contractor for accurate price for vinyl floor purchase and installation estimate.
- Sub-floor repairs: Installation of new floor may require subfloor repair (not included in price). In such cases it is recommended to send photos to contractor or to request onsite estimate to avoid changes in price after and or during project beginning.
- Advanced padding: Price estimate includes new basic padding installation (labor + materials) for vinyl sheets, unless customer specified differently. Advanced padding (e.g. soundproof, waterproof, etc.) may be installed at an additional price. It is recommended to consult contractor about special installation costs.
- Final price and additional materials: Includes all other materials and tools required to complete the job (floor paper, sanding paper, etc.). Includes disposal of the old flooring (if removal was requested by customer).
- Disposal: price Includes disposal of the old flooring (if removal was requested by customer) according to local regulations and laws. Additional disposal of furnitures or other appliances or items should be negotiated with the contractor prior to finalizing the cost or closing the deal.
